Four Way Speech Contest

This contest offers students in year 10 the opportunity to compete in public speaking using themes based upon the Rotary Four Way Test. Not only does  the contest help participants improve their speaking skills, it also has the potential to help them, their fellow students and the wider community to better understand how the Test applies to the things Rotarians think, say or do in the following four ways:

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The contest starts in Clubs in the second half of year 10 and concludes with District and Zone finals in the first half of year 11. All year 10 student can enter the contest by applying through their local Rotary Club. Any topic may be chosen but the speech must refer to Four Way Test, centre around one of its components and have a maximum duration of six minutes.
